Meeting Notes
Next meeting: February 18, 2026! Since the Winter Social has been pushed out until spring, we are having a February meeting at the Denys restaurant on 19 St NE, north of 16 Avenue. The room is booked starting at 5:00 PM for those who want to come early for supper, with the meeting to follow at 7:00 PM. Lindsay VA6LPG will be demonstrating the working model engine that he got for Christmas and just recently finished assembling.
Special Events:
Our Spring Social is coming on March 21 at the Glenmore Inn. The Club will subsidize the cost as usual, but the details have not yet been finalized.
The format will be similar to previous years, with a gathering in the lounge at 4:00 PM followed by the buffet dinner at 5:30 PM.
April 11 is the date for the CARA Flea Market at Eastside City Church. Doors open to the public at 9:00 AM. Details on the CARA web site: Flea Market
Club Objectives
- To promote amateur radio.
- To afford opportunity for friendly and social activities.
- To provide a meeting place for the consideration and discussion of questions affecting the interests of the Club.
- To encourage and foster among its members a recognition of the importance of communications in times of emergency or community need.
- To sell, manage, lease, mortgage, dispose of, or otherwise deal with the property of the Club.
- To always remember that this is only a hobby and not to take ourselves too seriously.
